Cool junque

We had a week-end break away.....Yay!!!!

We were here Hermanus which offers the best shore based whale watching in the world. The best time to visit is during July when these magnificent creatures pay Walker Bay in Hermanus a visit. It is an endless delight to watch them from the cliff paths, frolicking in the bay below!

Anyhoo, I had to squeeze some junking time into my week-end....Have to get my fix folks! So off to town we went (we were staying in a seaside apartment about 5 km out of town). The town folk told me to go to 'Snuffels' for vintage, antiques and bric-a-brac. I was not disappointed....this 2 story building is packed to the rafters with STUFF!

Well this is what I brought home!

4 side tables...yes 4:o)
A huge crate
An old wooden flour sifter
A stool with horrid upholstery...lol
A cute little milking stool....must have been used to milk Bessie on the farm:)
A stunning glazed pottery bread bin (not in pic) with 'BREAD' inscribed on the front
A retro table
A tray
A salt box
Some cheese/bread boards
And a rusty old red jerry can (not in the pic)

If I had to take anymore stuff, we would have had no place in the back of the truck for our luggage!!!

Guess who has their work cut out for them?!!?

Love this piece and can't wait to start its make over. Thinking I must give this gal a French, Provinciale look with a Typography graphic over the top! Found on the fleamarket, it was reserved for another lady, but she failed to turn up...my lucky day! The lid flips up to reveal storage below!
AWESOMENESS....

This deck chair will get a shabby chic romantic make over....and a pretty cushion!!!

Spot the cute little bench....had to have it! The squash racquet frames will gtake on a new life as picture frames...Woo...Hoo. I am gonna be a bizzy beee!!!

I finally found it!!!
Amazing vintage typewriter...I love the aqua colour of the keys.... I am playing nicely with my scrabble letter cards...having loads of fun!!!!

Lucky find, huge patchwork crocheted blanky!

Just imagine the love that went into this creation! Lets me yearn for cold winter nights next to the fireplace making roasted marshmallows, sipping hot chocolate, Hmmmmm!

I could not believe my good fortune when I found this vintage bathroom cabby
She was sitting on the floor, kinda hidden away...as if she was waiting for me to find her!
I will show you the transformation soon!

And then....this antique office drawer, kinda sitting there looking sad, discarded, rejected, lonely - but I can see this baby's potential. Lots of ideas for her, but one thing's for sure she will not be just a lonely old, discarded drawer when I'm done!

e-voke...to create a-new!
